Sudan continues to face one of the world’s most severe humanitarian emergencies as armed conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) enters anotherdevastating phase. Between February and May 2026, violence intensified across several regions, worsening civilian suffering, deepening food insecurity, and placing extraordinary pressure on humanitarian actors and local protection systems.
