Intended deliberately for investigators in charge of the prevention and the fight against the illegal traffic of human beings, this technical guide has a triple objective. First, it is intended as a reference tool for investigators to refer to frequently as part of their human trafficking activities; Secondly, the Memento has been developed to lay the foundation for sound, relevant and up-to-date knowledge for the smuggling of migrants investigations and methods to effectively combating trafficking. Finally, is presented the process of identifying and guiding victims of human trafficking as part of the victim assistance and protection process.
